Morning
Waking up early and returning to Angkor Wat to see the sun rising behind the triple towers is a great option for nature enthusiasts. You can also get breakfast to go upon request.
After departing from Angkor Wat, you will visit Banteay Srey, a well-preserved temple known as the “Citadel of the Women.” Renowned for its exquisite bas-reliefs, this modest temple showcases some of the best examples of ancient Khmer art and is distinctive for being made of pink sandstone.
Head north to Kbal Spean, one of the oldest Hindu pilgrimage sites in Cambodia. When you arrive, trek through the jungle to see the “River of 1000 Lingas,” featuring stone sculptures of Hindu gods and animals in the riverbed.
Afternoon
After a picnic, cool off at the nearby waterfall and then visit Kompong Khleang, a large and less visited village on Tonle Sap Lake, home to over 10,000 people who depend on fishing for their livelihood.
During your visit, you can explore Kompong Khleang and two other floating villages by private boat. Depending on the season, you can stroll through the town’s streets or navigate its canals. The buildings appear to float during the rainy season and resemble wooden skyscrapers when the stilts are exposed in the dry season.
You’ll see where Bridge of Life operates, a pagoda in Cambodia, and a stilted house in the hamlet while on a boat voyage. After the tour, you’ll take a boat back to the main harbor and be driven back to your resort, where you can spend the rest of the day at your leisure and enjoy complimentary beverages at sunset.
Evening
Enjoy a romantic dinner in a traditional Cambodian home. Picture yourself and your significant other dining in a charming Khmer timber house under the stars, surrounded by lush gardens. This exclusive setting celebrates your love for each other.
Optional choice: You can be dropped off at the Old Market or at Natural Sky Lounge, a rooftop bar with a great view of Siem Reap city. The rooftop has vibrant lights like those at Singapore’s Gardens by the Bay, making it a great spot to relax and take in the city’s night lights after dinner.
Overnight in Siem Reap.
